This piece is based on my Aunty Eileen. One of the warmest people you could ever meet. I have so many wonderful memories of wandering around her cottage garden, among the flowers and winding paths, up to the door where she would be waiting with a huge arm hug, a pot of tea and a cake.

My love of old cottages comes from Aunty Eileen’s own traditional Australian cottage. It was always filled with beautiful old antiques and flowers, and in itself felt like a warm hug…..so it’s her fault I’m so obsessed with old homes, and I’m forever thankful.
